IN MEMORY TO THOSE WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE US

Rodney McCulloch

Rodney was taken from us on August 4, 1999 by cancer.

Rodney was one of the founding members of Hoover VFD and was well known by all local citizens. He served with numerous fire and ems agencies in the area.

The loss of Rodney greatly impacted everyone who knew and loved him.

Rodney, a one of a kind guy, is sure missed.

Bob Campbell

On August 19, 2006, Firefighter and founding member Bob Campbell lost his battle with many illnesses. Bob dedicated 14 years to protecting the citizens and property of the Hoover VFD response area and beyond, and is dearly missed. We know Bob is watching over us and protecting all those he cared for.

FIREFIGHTERS CREED

When I'm called to duty God

Wherever flames may rage

Give me strength to save a life

Whatever be its age

Help me to embrace a little child

Before it is too late

Or save an older person

From the horror of that fate

Enable me to be alert

To hear the weakest shout

And quickly and efficiently

To put the fire out

I want to fill my calling

And to give the best in me

To guard my every neighbor

And protect his property

And if according to you will

I have to loose my life

Please bless with your protecting hand

My children and my wife
